Community Guidelines
Last updated: 2026-05-09
Veraz exists to help people in Latin America find real, verified connections. These guidelines apply to every profile, photo, message, and interaction on the platform. Breaking them can result in a warning, a temporary suspension, or a permanent ban.
1. Be Real
Veraz is built on verified identity. That only works if everyone is who they say they are.
- Use your real first name. Aliases, nicknames, or pseudonyms are not allowed as your display name.
- Use recent photos of yourself. Your primary photo must clearly show your face, must be of you, and must be from the last two years.
- Don’t impersonate anyone. Pretending to be a celebrity, a fictional character, or another real person is grounds for an immediate ban.
- One profile per person. Multiple accounts will be merged or removed.
- Don’t lie about your age. The minimum age is 20. Misrepresenting your age is a permanent ban.
2. Be Respectful
Treat everyone you meet on Veraz the way you’d want to be treated.
- No harassment. Repeated unwanted contact, threats, or insults are not tolerated.
- No hate speech. Content attacking people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or serious disease is removed and the account is banned.
- No unsolicited explicit messages. Sending sexual content to someone who hasn’t asked for it is harassment. This applies before, during, and after a match.
- Take “no” seriously. If someone says they’re not interested, stop messaging them. Continued contact after that point is harassment.
3. Keep It Safe
- Don’t share other people’s personal information — phone numbers, addresses, workplaces, social media handles — without their consent.
- Don’t pressure anyone for nudes, money, gifts, or to meet in person before they’re ready.
- Don’t coordinate dangerous activity. Drug deals, sex work, weapons trades, and human trafficking are reported to law enforcement.
- Use the safety features. When you go on a date, set up a Safety Check-In so a trusted contact can see your location.
4. Stay Legal
Don’t use Veraz for anything illegal. This includes, but isn’t limited to:
- Soliciting or offering paid sexual services
- Sharing or requesting illegal drugs
- Selling or trafficking weapons
- Fraud, scams, romance scams, or any deception aimed at extracting money
- Money laundering or facilitating financial crimes
- Any form of human trafficking, including labor or sex trafficking
We cooperate with law enforcement when required by law and report imminent threats of violence and crimes against minors.
5. Photo Standards
Every uploaded photo is automatically scanned and may also be reviewed by our moderation team.
Allowed: Photos of you in everyday settings — at the beach, at a restaurant, with friends, traveling, doing hobbies. Tasteful swimwear and gym attire are fine.
Not allowed:
- Nudity, partial nudity, or sexually explicit content
- Photos of minors (yours or anyone else’s) as profile photos — even in family settings
- Violence, gore, animal cruelty, or graphic injury
- Weapons in a threatening context
- Drugs or drug paraphernalia
- Hate symbols or extremist iconography
- Photos with overlaid contact information (phone, social handles, websites)
- Stock photos, AI-generated images, or photos copied from someone else
- Group photos where it’s unclear which person is you (especially as the primary photo)
6. No Commercial Use
Veraz is for personal connections, not promotions.
- No spam, advertising, or unsolicited promotion of products, services, or other apps
- No multi-level marketing (MLM) recruitment
- No promoting OnlyFans, Cam sites, or any adult content platform
- No driving traffic to external profiles for commercial purposes
7. Absolutely No Minors
The minimum age to use Veraz is 20 years old. We have zero tolerance for accounts created by anyone under 20, profile photos that include minors, and any sexual or suggestive content involving anyone under 18.
Suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the relevant national authorities. There is no warning step for this category — it’s an immediate, permanent ban.
8. How We Enforce These Guidelines
When a report is submitted, our moderation team reviews it within 24 hours. Depending on what we find, we take one of the following actions:
- No action: The reported behavior didn’t violate the guidelines.
- Warning: A first-time, low-severity violation. The account stays active but the behavior must stop.
- Content removal: The specific photo, message, or profile field is removed.
- Temporary suspension: The account is locked for 24 hours to 30 days, depending on severity.
- Permanent ban: The account is closed and the user is barred from creating new ones. Reserved for serious violations or repeated offenses.
- Law enforcement referral: Reserved for credible threats, CSAM, trafficking, and major fraud.
If your account is banned and you believe it was a mistake, you can appeal by emailing appeals@verazdating.app from the email address tied to the banned account.
9. How to Report
Reports are anonymous — the person you report doesn’t know it was you.
- Report a profile: open the profile → three-dot menu (top right) → Report.
- Report a message: long-press the message → Report.
- Report something else: email safety@verazdating.app with as much detail as you can.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
These guidelines may be updated as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 30 days before taking effect.
